about me My fascination with design was noticeable since I was a child and has remained throughout my life. As a child, I admired the beauty in humans, animals and nature and therefore enjoyed drawing all these elements. I later developed an interest in cartoons and comics and began drawing my own set of comic figures with their own story lines and adventures behind them. As I matured into my teenage years, I began illustrating three dimensional designs, playing with textures, light directions and shadows. During my college years, I knew that I wanted to incorporate everything I have learned throughout my life in addition to the latest technology in design. I decided to enroll into the Visual Communications/Graphic Design bachelor in fine art degree program at Kean University. As I majored in graphic design, I have learned how powerful the integration of technology, illustration and theory affects communication through our most used and dependent sense in humans, our vision. Throughout my college years, I freelanced various projects for professionals. I created an entire stationary set including business cards, letterheads, envelopes, resume, promotional items and a folder for a professional yoga instructor. I have also participated in the creation of an identity for a small restaurant business. In creating this identity, I designed their logo, menus, business cards and special promotional items. I have also participated in designing business cards for a professional senior interior designer. As I approach my final semester at Kean University, I look forward to attaining a degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design so that I can begin my life as a professional graphic designer and continue influencing others through my illustrations. |
